Sizing a bracelet
A steel bracelet almost always arrives too long — that is normal, they are made to fit the largest wrist and then shortened.
Please do not size it until you are sure you are keeping the watch. A shortened bracelet cannot be returned as new. Try it on over the length of an evening first.
Where to get it done
Any jeweller will remove links, usually in a few minutes, often for a few euro. Keep the removed links — you will want them if you ever sell it, or if your wrist changes.
A rough guide to case size
| Wrist | Case that tends to suit |
|---|---|
| Under 15 cm | 28–34 mm |
| 15–17 cm | 34–40 mm |
| 17–19 cm | 40–44 mm |
| Over 19 cm | 44 mm and up |
It is a guide, not a rule. A 40 mm watch on a small wrist looks deliberate; a 46 mm one looks borrowed.
